PHARMACIST OF THE YEAR

Elaine Ladd

Ladd Family Pharmacy, Boise, ID

Congratulations to Dr. Elaine Ladd, ISHP Pharmacist of the Year for 2010.
In his nomination letter, Sam Hoagland said:
"Elaine Ladd is a shining star in ISHP and the profession of pharmacy.
I admire her spirit, courage and dedication.
She is a positive role model for all pharmacists, young and old.
It is my pleasure to nominate her for ISHP Pharmacist of the Year."

Elaine started as a pharmacy technician, then became an intern and culminated
with her Doctor of Pharmacy from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy in 2005.
She then completed two years post-graduate clinical training through a Pharmacy Practice Residency
and Primary Care Specialty Residency. 

Elaine is Board Certified as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Additionally, she is certified in Pharmacy-Based Lipid Management,
Pharmacy-based Immunization Delivery, and Delivering Medication Therapy Management (MTM) in the Community.
Elaine also sits on the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare (Medicaid) P&T Review Committee.

Elaine previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at ISU College of Pharmacy,
and serves as an adjunct at two other Universities.  She previously served as a Board member on ISHP. 

Elaine has been nationally recognized by ASHP for Bridging the Continuity of Care gap,
and serves on the ASHP New Practitioners Committee.
She has been recognized statewide as a Volunteer Healthcare Hero and Idaho Women of the Year honoree. 

In her spare time, she volunteers at the Garden City Community Clinic
and enjoys spending time with her husband, Kip, and 3 young children.
